『 イタリア出張リポート その１ 』

2月の終わりから3月にかけて久しぶりにイタリアに出張に行かせていただきました。
何回かに分けて、リアルなイタリアの様子などをお伝えしていきたいと思います。
どうぞお付き合いよろしくお願いします。
イタリア到着後すぐにイランの戦争のニュースが飛び込んできまして、
帰れるのか心配でしたが、そこはANAの直行便ということで問題なく帰ってこれました。
インスタやLINEでご心配の連絡をしていただいた方、ありがとうございました。
今回のイタリアは、ミラノ、ベネチア、フィレンツェの3都市をメインにいかせていただきました。
まずはミラノ編、第一弾。
久しぶりのミラノということで、観光気分だったのは当然ということで記念撮影。
変わらない素敵なところでした。
ミラノでの目的は、自分自身の感覚がずれていないかの確認と
REUNIONで取り扱いのあるブランドの現地での状況などを見ること、
そしてドルモアのミラノのお店に行くことでした。
代表的な通り（モンテナポレオーネ、スピーガ）をとりあえず散策、
老舗のドリアーニやマーロなどを横目に見つつ、
かなり大きなブティックとなっていたMONCLER。
ちょうどディスプレイがうちと同じ商品だったので、ちょっと嬉しく
思わずパチリ。
そしてミラノでの目的の一つ、ドルモアのショップへ。
ドルモアのショップはスピーガ通りのいい場所にあり、
ブランドとしてきちんと認知され、やはり力のあるブランドだなと再認識しました。
メインのディスプレイもホント綺麗。
ニットブランドですが、お店ということもあり
ジャケットやコート、シューズなど
かなりセンスのいい品揃えでした。
REUNIONでもドルモアのニット以外の物も展開しております。
日本では数少ない取り扱いだと思いますが、全てのアイテムの完成度は高いので
見ていただく価値はあると思います。
ドルモアのショップではシューズの取り扱いもあり
ブランドとしては、ALDEN、JOHN LOBB。
こちらのディスプレイのオールデンタッセルは近日中に
REUNIONにも入荷しますので是非ご覧いただきたいと思います。
イタリアでもALDEN、かなり高価でしたね。
とはいえ、そこは直営ショップ、ニットの充実ぶりは圧巻でした。
日本の展示会でお会いした、ミラノ店の店長には
先方の都合でお会いすることはできませんでしたが、
日本の代理店、L.I.Sの坂戸社長のおかげですごくいい体験をさせてもらいました。
益々、ドルモア頑張らないといけないですね。
そしてドルモアのショップの隣には、これまたREUNIONで取り扱いのある
『 PESERICO / ペセリコ 』のショップ。
こちらのブランド、日本では特にメンズに関してはそれほどメジャーなブランドではありませんが、
このスピーガ通りにショップがあることを思えば、かなりイタリアではいい位置にあるブランドだというのがわかりました。
トータルルックのブランドで、
ロロ・ピアーナやブルネロクチネリほどではないんですが
ラグジュアリーなブランドです。
実は30年前のREUNIONのオープン時には
パンツはこのペセリコと、今は聞かなくなってしまった
バレンティーニというブランドの物でスタートしました。
まだ、インコテックスなどの今人気のブランドは日本にはほぼ無かった頃ですので
当時のイタリアの高級パンツといえばこんな感じでした。
そのペセリコがまたお店にあるというのもなかなか不思議です。
ま、ラグジュアリーブランドだけあって、いいお値段はしますが、おススメです。
ということで、ミラノ第一弾のご報告はこの辺で。

It’s been a while since my last blog post.
I apologize for the delay.
From late February through March, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy on business for the first time in a long while.
I’d like to share my experiences and the real atmosphere of Italy over the next few posts.
I hope you’ll stick with me.
Right after I arrived in Italy, news of the war in Iran broke,
and I was worried about whether I’d be able to return home, but thanks to ANA’s direct flight, I was able to come back without any issues.
Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on me via Instagram and LINE.
This trip to Italy focused mainly on three cities: Milan, Venice, and Florence.
First up is the Milan edition, Part 1.
Since it had been a while since I’d been to Milan, I was naturally in a sightseeing mood, so I took some commemorative photos.
It was just as wonderful as ever.
My goals in Milan were to check if my own sense of style was still on point,
to see the local situation of the brands carried by REUNION,
and to visit the Dormoa store in Milan.
I started by strolling down the main streets (Via Montenapoleone and Via Spiga),
glancing at long-established stores like Doriani and Marlo,
and passing by the MONCLER boutique, which had grown quite large.
The display happened to feature the same products we carry, which made me happy,
so I couldn’t help but snap a photo.
Then, I headed to the Dolmore shop, one of my main goals in Milan.
The Dolmore shop is located in a prime spot on Via Spiga,
and seeing how well-recognized the brand is there, I was reminded once again of its strength.
The main display was truly beautiful.
Although it’s a knitwear brand, since it’s a full-fledged store,
they had a very tasteful selection of jackets, coats, shoes, and more.
At REUNION, we also carry items from Dolmore besides their knitwear.
I believe we’re one of the few retailers in Japan that carries their line, but since the quality of every item is so high,
I think it’s definitely worth checking out.
The Dolmore shop also carries shoes,
featuring brands like Alden and John Lobb.
The Alden tassel shoes featured in this display
will be arriving at REUNION soon, so I definitely want you to check them out.
Even in Italy, Alden was quite expensive.
That said, as a flagship store, the selection of knitwear was truly impressive.
I wasn’t able to meet the manager of the Milan store, whom I’d met at a trade show in Japan,
due to his schedule,
but thanks to Mr. Sakato, the president of L.I.S., our Japanese distributor, I had a wonderful experience.
This makes me feel even more determined to keep pushing Dolmore forward.
And right next to the Dolmore shop is the “PESERICO” shop,
which is also carried at REUNION.
This brand isn’t particularly well-known in Japan, especially in the men’s market,
but given that their shop is located on Via Spezia, it’s clear they hold a prominent position in Italy.
It’s a total-look brand,
and while not quite on the level of Loro Piana or Brunello Cucinelli,
it is a luxury brand.
Actually, when REUNION first opened 30 years ago,
we started out carrying these Peserico pants and a brand called
Valentini, which you don’t hear about much anymore.
Back then, popular brands like Incotex were virtually nonexistent in Japan,
so this was what high-end Italian pants looked like at the time.
It’s quite a coincidence that we have Peserico in the store again.
Well, as you’d expect from a luxury brand, they come with a hefty price tag, but I highly recommend them.
So, that wraps up my first report from Milan.
